Description

Name: Luhan
Gender: XY
Markings: Holstein+, Fawn+, Wings, Hooves

You suddenly realize that the starflower isn't in your hand anymore. Only the stem is. The grasses around you sway ever so slightly in a faint breeze, but there is nothing to be seen. You're about to slide off the rock to see if maybe the flower part fell off to the ground when the grasses part and an ikeda bounces out at you. He sails over the rock and takes your sandwich.

It takes me a startled moment to see him there. To be perfectly honest everything happened so fast I wasn't expecting it. I didn't even notice my sandwich was gone as the Ikeda simply bounced passed me with no problems. Xiumin was immediately at the ready though, barking at the intruder, unsure if he was here to play or just steal our food. It seemed to make the Ikeda wary at first though he was rather brave and had already stolen the starflower and my sandwich so why wouldn't he be able to handle Xiumin?

As such the two were soon playing, rolling around in the grass of the plains and it was obvious that this boy really did blend in well with his surroundings. He'd gotten good genes for an ikeda, it seemed. Just a few meters away and the only thing that gives him away is Xiumin's loud barking and bright red fur. Sehun sticks by the rock I'm still sitting on, staring like an idiot at this beautiful Ikeda. He doesn't seem interested....yet. He is interested he just won't admit it, again, and so with a roll of my eyes I just gently..kick him off the rock and make him roll to the ground, to which he glares at me and I simply tell him to get out there and play and have fun 'cause maybe he needs to loosen up.

And so eventually he goes and it's obvious it takes him awhile to warm up, he's not really friends with the other friends I have back home either. But somehow through everything it seems much more easy for Sehun to warm up to this Ikeda than to anyone else, and soon enough they're playing just like they've known each other for years, and even Xiumin is surprised. The Ikeda seems to enjoy the company of both the avis and the lhedis, and after watching for awhile, the three come bouncing back, the look in Xiumin's eyes, and even Sehun's at this point, asking if we can keep him.

I can't help but chuckle, nod, and ask the Ikeda if he'd like to stay, he's exactly what I was looking for after all and he's beautiful and friendly and cute though also brave for not being scared of Xiumin's loud barking right off the bat. He's got a lot of perfect qualities and I'm hoping he'll want to come home with me.

The answer doesn't come in his bleating at me, but instead comes in another leap over the rock I'm on as he simply starts walking back towards the shelter as if he already knows our destination. He stops and looks back with that questioning face, asking if we're coming or not, and so we all follow, and really it's been quite a perfect day, except for the fact that I have to beware there's a new sandwich thief in my house.

Xiumin and Sehun seem happy and Xiumin plays with the Ikeda all the way home, Sehun preferring to simply walk by my side as it gets a little later and the bigger predators start coming out.

As we're walking, though, another thing is decided. Amongst looking at the Ikeda, the way those little spots seem to sparkle on his ivory fur in the sunlight, his perfect natural coloration and those big brown eyes, I look down at Sehun and quietly say, "Luhan." He gives me quite the inquisitive look, but the Ikeda immediately perks his ears and responds, stopping his romping with Xiumin momentarily, as if he was already expecting his name.

"Your name will be Luhan. It means 'deer' in..I believe Chinese, though you shouldn't quote me on that. Quite fitting with your natural colors, those big brown eyes of yours and those shining fawn spots you show off so proudly. Luhan, I think, fits you perfectly." He seems to smile at the name, and then he bleats at me, and I smile back of course, and Xiumin starts to bark again.

At least now Xiumin won't be the only one in the house who's way too loud in the mornings. Luhan will be right there beside him, bleating and causing a ruckus.
