It takes some time, but the scent of the beetle draws a doozy garden avis out of his little burrow among the grasses. He creeps silently through the withered reeds towards the offered beetle. Only a slight cracking of the ice gives his presence away to you.

Kyungsoo senses it first. Something is off, and he knows it. He keeps his tiny paws around the beetle as he waits, but his little ears perk and twitch at the lack of noise through the cold air. The slight crack of ice gives him away. A beautiful grey garden avis, just slightly tinted in a purple-blue shade, silently making his way towards Kyungsoo and the little beetle. Kyungsoo seems to freeze at first, the beetle wriggling away from him, and the garden avis catches it and devours it before it can get away.
Kyungsoo, in his tiny fuzzy pink and white rodent mikri sweater, sits and stares at this garden avis, and I've no idea what's passing through his mind but he seems fixed on the beautiful grey, winged fellow. It isn't long before I realize the sly looks the garden avis is giving him, the way his mane flows just perfectly in the breeze and he seems to smirk and show off for Kyungsoo, flashing his wings here and there. It takes awhile for Kyungsoo to come back to his senses, to use his tiny legs to push one of the garden avis's own legs forward, to force him over to me. Kyungsoo seems to declare that this is the one, we're taking this one home, right now. And so we do, as simple as that.
And Kyungsoo? Well he names the Garden Avis Jongin all on his own.
